The new document Similar Figures: Finding Missing Measures focuses on using proportions to determine missing side lengths and the congruence of corresponding angles to determine missing angle measures.

New interactive tools make it easier for students to match corresponding sides and angles. The rotate tool on Page 6 allows students to turn one of the figures until corresponding sides and angles are oriented the same.

When similar triangles are embedded within each other, students often have trouble visualizing the two figures separately. With a simple click of a button, students can separate the figures and see the corresponding side lengths.
